The NPerf Hosted speed test servers offer a relatively clean (ad free) environment for producing accurate speed test results.

Latency testing should be contemplated by the location of the randomly selected speed test site.  Latency metrics to a server located across the country or in another country will not produce accurate Latency results from your location to the Internet.

The SpeedTest.NET Hosted speed test servers, while popular with the general public, offer sporadic results due to a plethora of reasons ranging from speed restricted host sites to heavy landing page advertising.  We include the link on our testing page for transparency and completeness, but we do NOT endorse them for accurate testing at this time.

Technical Support FAQ

Overview

The equipment Outlaw Wireless uses to deliver fast and reliable Internet service to your location is industry leading and very robust.  As such, there is rarely any complex procedures to undertake when troubleshooting your connection.

Please use this guide to troubleshoot your wireless router and Outlaw equipment to get back up and running ASAP.

The Easiest Fix - Personally Owned Routers

Once a wireless router is configured for use at your location your home network should simply function.

Regardless of the make and model of your home router, these steps should aid you in getting it back up and running. (Provided, the Factory Reset button was not pushed.)  You should NOT push the Factory Reset button on your router unless you are personally familiar with setting it up again from scratch OR under the specific direction of a qualified network technician.

STEP 1.  Remove the thin power cord from the back of your wireless router and leave unplugged for a period of 60-seconds.

STEP 2.  Return the power connector to your wireless router and wait about 60-seconds for the unit to fully boot up.

STEP 3.  Reboot your personal computing devices after the wireless router has fully booted up.

STEP 4.  Attempt to access the internet from your personal computing devices.

A power cycle on my wireless router didn't work...What's next?

No worries.  It would be at this point we would ask you to contact your Outlaw Wireless Support Team at 406-215-2240 .

Please DO NOT unplug any cables from the Outlaw Wireless equipment installed at your location.  Doing so will erase real-time metrics we use that could help us evaluate what is actually going on.

We are here for you and we want to help you get back up and running as quickly as possible.
